Letting Go of Things You've Outgrown
Eventually, you have to let things that no longer fit go. I used to think that the more you had meant the more happy you could be in life. This didn't just include material wealth - it extended to the amount of friends you had or the amount of opportunities you had in life to do great things.
Lately, though, I've been discovering that these things are only valuable if they're tailored to you. That's not to say that my Alexander Wang jacket isn't quality; it is of the highest quality. It's one of the most expensive and most luxurious basic jackets I own. With that being said, it's time to let it go.
When I bought the jacket, I was much bulkier. I fit into a Large and wore the baggy, bohemian fit. I loved it with a passion and I thought that it gave me a better stylish demeanor. But now my taste has change, and I have (under)grown the jacket. And with everything, once it's over, it's over.
I took it to the vintage thrift shop and got $72.
